Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 07:49 PM
A Telegram channel affiliated with Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported that GUR special forces conducted an operation in Sumy Oblast, disrupting Russian offensive plans and preventing the cutting of logistical routes. The report claims that 108 Russian soldiers were killed, 29 were captured, and over 1100 targets were struck.
The GUR also stated that its forces cleared over 600 hectares of forest from Russian presence and handed the positions over to Ukraine's Defense Forces, which reportedly allowed for the disruption of Russian offensive plans and the securing of logistical routes. Further details are expected to be released by the GUR soon.
