The source stated that anti-aircraft defenses and nets were unable to prevent the strike. The refinery is described as one of the largest in Russia, supplying approximately 40% of Moscow's fuel market and 70% of the region's gasoline and aviation fuel needs.

The report also mentioned explosions at the TPP-22 in Dzerzhinsky in the Moscow region and in Sofino, where shoe store warehouses were reportedly attacked.
