A Telegram post reported that Andriy Plosky, an excavator operator from Chernihiv region, survived a drone strike on his excavator in Donetsk in February 2025. Plosky, who has worked for the rescue service for over 13 years, transferred to a demining unit in the summer of 2022 and has since cleared mined territories in Chernihiv and Donetsk regions.
In May, an enemy FPV drone hit his armored vehicle, which could not be saved. Plosky later transferred to an engineering unit for emergency response, where he continues to serve. He has been awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree, the President's distinction "For the Defense of Ukraine," and the badge "For Courage in an Emergency Situation."
