Reuters reported, citing two sources, that Ukrainian forces (VSU) failed tests of interceptors against Russian jet drones in July. In early July, military manufacturers gathered to test a new generation of interceptors against jet strike UAVs. The tests did not go as planned, with many interceptors proving difficult to control at speeds over 400 km/h, and some falling into fields and forests.
The agency noted that Russia has approximately increased its use of jet drones sixfold over the summer. According to Ukrainian data seen by Reuters, there were about 450 such launches in June and about 2,850 in August. Deputy Commander of the 3rd Corps, Maksim Zhorin, stated that initiative in this direction has been lost again.
