The United States is preparing to evacuate some personnel from its embassies in Persian Gulf countries due to the risk of a new escalation, including the possible resumption of hostilities with Iran-linked Houthis in Yemen, Reuters reported, citing U.S. officials.

According to American officials, the evacuation could include all personnel and their family members from the U.S. diplomatic mission in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh warned of possible new Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia.
