Russian forces have blocked all proposed evacuation routes from the occupied town of Oleshky, according to Ukraine's Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets. Lubinets stated that a humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding in the city.

Ukraine had also proposed a ceasefire to facilitate civilian evacuation, but the Russian side refused. The situation is further complicated by mined territories.
