Monday, October 19, 2026 at 03:45 PM

Authorities in St. Petersburg have arrested a blogger for allegedly calling for Russia's dissolution and justifying the death of Vladlen Tatarsky. The individual, who reportedly ran a Telegram channel with 6,000 subscribers, is accused of urging Russian military personnel to surrender or desert and celebrating the bombing that killed Tatarsky.

Law enforcement analyzed the blogger's publications and conducted expert examinations to identify the individual. A criminal case has been opened for publicly justifying terrorism, which could result in up to seven years in prison.
