In Novorossiysk, law enforcement is conducting searches and seizing documents from the office of Mayor Andrei Kravchenko, according to "Kommersant". TASS reports that the actions are related to the economic aspects of the football club "Chernomorets", of which the mayor is president.

According to "Izvestia", the investigation may concern 250 million rubles transferred by developers as "voluntary donations" instead of funds going to the city budget. The city administration had entered into agreements with two developers, who were obliged to transfer donations to a structure associated with FC "Chernomorets" and a non-profit organization "City of Happiness", headed by the mayor's wife, Elena Kravchenko.
