In Russian-occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region, where approximately 2,000 people remain, food and medicine supplies are running out, drinking water is scarce, and medical assistance is nearly impossible to obtain, according to humanitarian organizations. It is currently virtually impossible to leave Oleshky independently due to mined roads, and civilians attempting to leave may be targeted by Russian drones.

Ukraine is urging international organizations to secure access to Oleshky, establish a humanitarian corridor, and deliver essential supplies. Russia has acknowledged the dire situation but attributed responsibility to Ukraine.
