Russia reportedly targets European arms manufacturers, impacting Ukraine's supply chain

Friday, October 2, 2026 at 02:05 PM

Russian forces are reportedly engaged in a campaign targeting arms manufacturers in Europe, with incidents of fires and explosions occurring at several companies. A source familiar with an incident in Leipzig on August 5th stated that three FPV drones were used in an attempt to attack a Ukrainian Antonov "Ruslan" aircraft at Leipzig airport. The source indicated that the drones failed to detonate or were not launched, narrowly avoiding a catastrophe.

Investigators reportedly found similarities between the drone's warhead and other improvised explosives found in caches of Russian agents in other European countries. The Russian side has not denied its involvement in attacks on arms factories of Ukraine's partners, with incidents reported at companies like WB Electronics, Delair, and MBDA across Europe.
