Russia: Sanctions on Tatarstan Head, War Casualties Reduced, General Appointed

The head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, has been sanctioned by the European Union. In the Saratov region, authorities are reducing payments to families of fallen soldiers in Ukraine by tenfold. Former General Alexander Lapin will become deputy prime minister of Tatarstan. In Chuvashia, a contract soldier is suspected of murder, and in Udmurtia, an activist planning a protest against election fraud is being prosecuted.
