A Russian Baltic Fleet corvette reportedly fired signal flares at a Danish Navy helicopter in neutral waters to prevent a provocation, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The warship was conducting tasks in international waters, while the Danish helicopter was reportedly approaching and did not respond to calls.

Denmark has refused a Russian initiative to prevent incidents at sea, with the Russian embassy stating the issue remains relevant despite an "absolute unwillingness to resolve it in the legal field."
