Russian court sends state treason case of two siblings back to FSB
A Russian court has returned the case of siblings Valentina Malyar and Tatyana Begey to the FSB, who have been held for over a year following searches in Yevpatoria. The charge of state treason is reportedly being reclassified as preparation for a terrorist act, according to the human rights project "Tribunal. Crimean Episode".
The FSB of the Russian Federation officially stated that they "detained" people only in the fall of this year, identifying them as a brother and sister from Lviv involved in "unlawful" activities in Yevpatoria and possessing caches on the orders of Ukrainian intelligence. The "Tribunal" project notes that their status as suspects dates back to at least the fall of 2025, with Tatyana Malyar also being registered for storing explosives.
