Around ten lawsuits demanding the removal of election commission members and observers were filed in St. Petersburg courts on a single day. Most of those targeted for removal from polling stations represent the Yabloko party, according to Fontanka.

The lawsuits are being considered in several districts, including three in the Vasilyostrovsky District Court and one in the Kuybyshevsky District Court. Prior decisions to remove commission members were already issued by the Kalininsky and Kirovsky District Courts. Pavel Golomzik, a commission member in the Kalininsky district, was accused of 'hooligan behavior' and damaging a secure envelope, a claim he disputes.
