Russian doctor charged after accusing detention officer of assault
A criminal case has been opened against Russian neurologist Mikhail Fetisov for allegedly insulting a detention center employee, whom Fetisov had previously accused of assault. According to close associates of the doctor, a video recording of the alleged beating of Fetisov has disappeared, his cellmate was soon transferred, and the guard Fetisov identified as involved in the conflict was isolated from him.
Fetisov is accused of spreading "fakes" about the Russian army and making public calls for activities against state security. One of the episodes is related to the publication of a video with instructions on how to surrender, and two others are related to comments on VKontakte, where the doctor criticized the actions of the Russian military and wrote about the torture of a Ukrainian prisoner of war.
