Russian drone attacks prevent volunteer groups from entering frontline settlements in Khar

Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 11:02 AM

Volunteer groups are unable to enter frontline settlements in Ukraine's Kharkiv and Donetsk regions due to constant Russian drone attacks, according to Oleksandr Humaniuk, head of the "Rose in Hand" organization, speaking to Hromadske Radio. Civilians are forced to walk or travel with military personnel to safer locations for evacuation.

Humaniuk stated that volunteer teams are facing a shortage of drivers due to the dangerous and unpaid nature of the work, with operations occurring simultaneously across multiple directions including Kupyansk, Vovchansk, and Borivske.
