Russian forces reportedly discovered caches of weapons and ammunition buried by Ukrainian militants before their retreat from an encirclement in the Luhansk People's Republic (LNR). A correspondent for "Izvestia" reported finding 30mm ammunition for armored infantry vehicles near Ukrainian positions.

According to a military commandant's senior marksman with the call sign "Strizh," information about possible caches and dangerous areas comes from local residents. Each report is verified, and the territory is surveyed for anti-personnel mines, including "Lepestok" munitions. He added that abandoned small arms suggest Ukrainian soldiers in the encirclement hastily discarded items identifying them as military personnel before attempting to leave the area disguised as civilians.
