The Russian Investigative Committee has detained Volodymyr Prokopenko, the head of the municipal district of occupied Primorsk. He has been notified of suspicion of abuse of official position, which carries a sentence of up to seven years imprisonment under Russian law.

Volodymyr Prokopenko received a Russian passport in 2014 and was involved with the "United Russia" party in occupied Crimea. A Ukrainian court заочно convicted him of collaborationism and aiding Russia in 2025, sentencing him to 11 years in prison with property confiscation.
