Russian military expert discusses remote-controlled tank capabilities
A Russian military expert, Boris Rozhin, stated that it will be possible to control unmanned tanks remotely from Moscow using fiber-optic cables, mesh communication, or satellite systems like Starlink. He noted that Russia possesses sufficient technological capabilities for such methods and highlighted the enemy's fear of the 'Rasvet' system, which is expected to improve drone application and advance military development.
Deputy Russian Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov previously mentioned the potential introduction of unmanned tank units into the Russian army, with tests conducted during the 'Center-2026' exercises. Rozhin further elaborated that tanks will adapt to new realities, suggesting robotic platforms could be equipped with heavy weaponry or used as cargo transporters in high-risk environments.
