A detachment of ships from the Northern Fleet has navigated the Shokalsky Strait for the first time in the history of the Russian Navy. The strait separates October Revolution Island from Bolshevik Island in the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago. An exercise alarm was sounded during the passage to enhance combat readiness.
