Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia does not intend to attack other countries but will respond with all available means if attacked. He also mentioned that Western assets in Russia will not be nationalized but temporarily managed, with a possibility of return. Meanwhile, Ukraine reported the first combat use of its tactical ballistic missile, the FP-7. An explosion at the Krasnozavodsk chemical plant in the Moscow region resulted in seven fatalities.

Additionally, 72.2% of Ukrainians support peace talks with Russia, with 51.7% open to territorial compromises. The UK has imposed new sanctions on Russian-linked propagandists and entities involved in a 'shadow fleet'. In Russia, journalist Elena Matushevskaya was detained in Krasnoyarsk over donations to the FBK, and a student was threatened with expulsion for protesting election falsifications. Plans are also underway to integrate DOSAAF into military and mobilization training, including drone operator instruction.
