A Telegram channel reported mass cases of robbery targeting Russian tourists in Tanzania, with money, jewelry, and expensive perfumes being stolen. Over six such incidents have been recorded in recent weeks.
One incident involved a 35-year-old woman from the Moscow region who discovered $1700 missing from her hotel safe on Zanzibar. She reported indifference from local police and the absence of CCTV cameras at the Sultan Sands Island Resort. Another case involved a 40-year-old woman from Kazan who had $100 stolen by the pool at the Riu Palace Swahili hotel, with management disclaiming responsibility.
