Russian transport firm reports 10% drop in interregional passenger traffic

Monday, October 12, 2026 at 12:57 PM

The general director of Russian JSC Krymavtotrans, Vyacheslav Martynov, stated that interregional passenger traffic decreased by approximately 10%, from 210,000 last year to 188,000 passengers this year. Ukrainian Defense Forces have maintained fire control over the land corridor from Russia through occupied southern regions to Crimea for over four months. Russian trucks, fuel tankers, and military equipment supplying the Russian army have been hit by drone strikes on this route.

The land corridor is a key supply route for Russian forces in occupied southern Ukraine and Crimea. Drone strikes targeting this route have impacted Russian military logistics.
