Satellite images reportedly show large fires at Saudi Aramco facilities in Abqaiq, Khurais, Rabigh, and Riyadh, according to Iran's IRNA news agency, citing media resources of the Ansar Allah movement. The reports indicate that satellite monitoring systems, including NASA's VIIRS, detected abnormal thermal pulses near a refinery and pumping station in Abqaiq, as well as on the infrastructure of the East-West oil pipeline.
The images reportedly show thick plumes of smoke over the oil processing plant in Abqaiq and ignition sources within the oil and gas complex in Khurais. Sentinel-2 satellite data also indicates damage to fuel storage tanks at a refinery in southern Riyadh and at a large refining and petrochemical complex in Rabigh.
