Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al Jaber announced that the Bab el-Mandeb Strait has been cleared of Houthi forces, characterizing it as a victory for Yemenis and Arabs. This statement follows a government offensive launched this week to retake Houthi-held territory after the group advanced.

The claim of clearing the strait comes amid a government offensive aimed at recapturing territory from the Houthis, who had advanced in the region.
