A post from the Bilyayivska community announced that 39-year-old Senior Soldier Oleksandr Tsybel was killed on April 1, 2025, near Novooleksandrivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Tsybel, who had six children, returned to Ukraine after working abroad to join the military following the full-scale invasion.

He had been discharged in December 2023 but returned to the front lines. Tsybel was awarded the "Unbreakable Heroes of the Russo-Ukrainian War" medal and the "Veteran of War" badge for his bravery.
