Soldier Serhiy Klymchenko was killed in action on June 20, 2022, near the village of Sydorove in the Donetsk region as a result of an artillery shelling. He was 50 years old.

Serhiy was born in Sloviansk. After school, he graduated from professional agrarian lyceum No. 146, where he mastered the specialty of a driver-tractor driver. At 18, he joined the army and served for 2 years in the border troops. He worked at the Sloviansk furniture factory. Recently, he was a huntsman in a forestry enterprise. When the full-scale invasion began, Serhiy became a squad commander of the 106th separate battalion of the TRO of the 109th brigade. The defender's body was cremated. The ashes were buried in a columbarium at Baikove cemetery in Kyiv.
