Sources: Russia's ballistic missile strike on Kyiv kills one, injures three
Monday, October 19, 2026 at 04:21 AM
Sources told Radio Svoboda that Ukraine received no advance warning before Russia's overnight ballistic missile strike on Kyiv, despite President Zelensky's statement that the U.S. had resumed sharing missile launch intelligence. The attack killed a 21-year-old woman and injured three people, with two hospitalized and three treated at the scene after debris hit a residential building.
Kyiv's metro reported that an above-ground station, tracks, and cables were damaged, leading to the closure of Chernihivska and Lisova stations. This marks the second time this month Kyiv has been hit without warning, following a ballistic strike on October 12.
