Swedish investor Carl Sturen has initiated an international investment dispute with Ukraine, citing alleged judicial misconduct in a case involving his company, "Vindkraft Tavria," and the insurance company UNIQA. Sturen claims his company, which operated wind farms in the Kherson region, was denied compensation for war-related risks by UNIQA after the area was occupied.

The investor alleges that the court proceedings shifted unfavorably after alleged interference from the Austrian embassy, UNIQA's country of origin. Sturen also expressed concern over media reports suggesting potential undue influence on judges by a former deputy head of the Ukrainian President's Office, who is currently under NABU investigation. Sturen stated that the dispute is not about losing the case, but about alleged violations during the legal process, and has proposed consultations with Ukraine.
