Russia has entered a new phase of its war against Ukraine, intensifying physical, psychological, economic, and political pressure on the country, according to The Economist. The publication noted that serious disruptions to public transport have been recorded in Kyiv recently, with air raid alerts and warnings of missile and drone strikes becoming a routine part of life in the capital.

The Economist also reported that explosions near gas stations, railway infrastructure, shopping centers, offices, and residential buildings are creating constant pressure on residents. The publication also mentioned signs of a new outflow of families from Kyiv to safer regions in western Ukraine.
