Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Al-Hasakah, Syria, for a protest under the banner "No flag but the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic." Some protesters reportedly faced gunfire and were prevented from reaching the city center by "lawless militias" affiliated with the Revolutionary Youth forces.

Simultaneously, several popular demonstrations took place in the city of Raqqa and its countryside in solidarity with the residents of Al-Hasakah.
