Former US President Donald Trump announced that an "energy truce" between Russia and Ukraine has just come into effect, stating on his Truth Social platform that "both sides agreed" to it. He added, "Do not break it!" Trump provided no further details on what the energy truce entails.

The statement comes amid agreements between the US and Russian presidents on diesel fuel supplies and sharp criticism from Trump directed at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom Trump accused of continuing strikes on Russian refineries despite US requests not to do so.
