Former US President Donald Trump stated he does not want to worsen relations with Russia to avoid hindering negotiations on ending the conflict in Ukraine. "I don't want to do anything that would foolishly alienate Russia from the negotiating table," Trump said, adding that he believes significant progress has been made in the talks.

Trump also criticized Ukrainian President Zelensky for strikes on Russian oil refineries, stating these attacks impact the global diesel market, including in the US. He accused the Ukrainian leader of not wanting to end the conflict and expressed his desire for the war to conclude.
