A Turkish-owned vessel carrying corn sank in the Black Sea on October 5 after catching fire outside Romania's territorial waters. Romanian authorities reported two deaths and eleven people rescued. The Ukrainian president blamed Russian drones for the attack.
The incident occurred as commercial shipping navigates the Black Sea, a crucial maritime corridor. The vessel had departed from the Ukrainian port of Izmail.
