Two residents of Zaporizhzhia have been notified of suspicion for justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The individuals allegedly justified the aggression in comments under social media posts. One suspect, an engineer at a critical infrastructure facility in Zaporizhzhia, reportedly posted pro-Russian comments in Telegram chats, stating he was in territory recognized by the Russian Federation but occupied by the "Kyiv regime." A paramedic from a private clinic also spread propaganda narratives via a Vkontakte account.

The actions of the suspects have been qualified under Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which pertains to the creation and dissemination of materials that recognize the legitimacy of, or justify, the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, and recognize the legitimacy of the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territory, using mass media. Both suspects are currently under house arrest by court order.
