The United Kingdom will deploy Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia to defend against missile and drone attacks from Yemen's Houthi rebels, according to the Financial Times. The aircraft will patrol the kingdom's airspace and protect cities, airports, and critical infrastructure.

London will also send a military transport aircraft and military advisors, and the support for refueling Saudi aviation will be extended for another 90 days. The decision was made after an increase in Houthi attacks, including on Riyadh Airport and the country's oil facilities.
