Law enforcement in Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine, has uncovered a fraudulent scheme where scammers impersonated state institution employees to solicit money from people across Ukraine. The fraudsters promised compensation for allegedly poor-quality medicine but demanded sequential payments for "court fees," "insurance," and "licenses."

Authorities documented 12 instances of this scam, with total damages exceeding 3 million UAH. During searches in Zaporizhzhia, investigators seized equipment, SIM cards, bank cards, handwritten notes, and over 420,000 UAH in cash. Three individuals have been notified of suspicion, with one additional participant being notified in absentia. They face charges for fraud.
