Ukraine Government Mandates Enhanced Cybersecurity for State Services Amidst Russian Cyber
The Ukrainian government is strengthening cybersecurity for state services, with a direct order issued to heads of all executive bodies to urgently form cybersecurity teams and procure necessary software. A Telegram post stated that Russia is systematically targeting Ukraine's digital infrastructure, similar to its attacks on the energy sector. Approximately ten data centers in Kyiv were reportedly damaged in September alone due to these attacks.
The post further noted an increase in cyberattacks, with the adversary increasingly employing artificial intelligence, primarily targeting state information systems and Ukrainian businesses. Key digital agencies are reportedly capable of repelling AI-driven attacks, and similar readiness is expected from all state institutions.
