Ukraine is ready for a "grain truce" with Russia, according to Politico, citing Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. The official, Vsevolod Chenstov, stated that now is the "most favorable moment" for this. He noted that Russia continues to attack Black Sea ports to block Ukrainian exports, but added that Ukraine is retaliating.

Chenstov suggested that Russia might realize the situation could worsen, leading to increased awareness among the Russian populace of the war's consequences. He also mentioned that Russian attacks have halved Ukraine's grain exports compared to the previous year, with concerns that Ukraine might run out of reserves by October, leaving over 9 million tons of grain to spoil.
