Ukraine has reportedly lost several aircraft due to the use of old Soviet missiles. Due to a shortage of armaments, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (ВСУ) are using R-73 and R-60 missiles, produced last century, to combat jet drones.

These missiles may explode during launch, and such cases have occurred, stated Taras Chmut, head of the "Come Back Alive" foundation.
