Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) is examining the possibility of a guided missile malfunction as a potential cause for the crash of a MiG-29 fighter jet in the Berezivskyi district of Odesa region. The Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reached this conclusion after an internal investigation.

Investigators have ordered a series of expert examinations, including analysis of the aircraft's "black box." The DBR stated that final conclusions regarding the crash causes will be made after the expert results are received.
