Ukraine's SBU detains Russian agent planning bomb attack in Odesa region

Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) reportedly thwarted a terrorist attack in Izmail, Odesa region, and detained a Russian agent. The SBU stated that counterintelligence officers identified a local resident recruited by Russians via Telegram channels. The individual allegedly prepared a homemade bomb with an explosive power of 10 kg in TNT equivalent, intended to target a government administration building in Izmail.
The detained individual is currently in custody without the possibility of bail and faces up to 12 years in prison with property confiscation. The alleged plan involved remotely detonating the bomb during peak hours to maximize civilian casualties.
