Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) reported that two members of a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG), neutralized in the Kyiv region in June 2024, have been sentenced to life imprisonment. A third member received a 15-year sentence.

According to the SBU, the FSB agents were tasked with monitoring energy and military infrastructure. They allegedly set fire to equipment at four power substations and planned to derail a freight train in the Kyiv region.
