Ukraine's Zelenskyy Discusses Aid and Defense Production with US Congress Delegation
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to a US Congressional delegation for their visit to Kyiv amidst ongoing Russian attacks. He stated that Russia is not achieving its battlefield objectives and is attempting to compensate through escalation. Zelenskyy noted that an air alert was active during their meeting due to the threat of "Shahed" drones.
President Zelenskyy highlighted that Russian drones have damaged two schools, bridges, and energy infrastructure in the capital since the beginning of the month. He emphasized the need for joint efforts to defend against this "terror" and discussed how the United States can help save lives. Zelenskyy also expressed hope for the implementation of Lindsey Graham's law to fully restrict financial flows to the Russian military machine. Additionally, they discussed accelerating licensing for Patriot missile production, with Ukraine ready to jointly produce ballistic missile interceptors for itself, the US, and allies.
