Ukrainian 92nd Brigade Conducts First Drone Evacuation of Wounded Soldier
Monday, October 19, 2026 at 09:29 AM
Specialists from the 92nd Brigade reportedly conducted the first-ever drone evacuation of a wounded soldier from the front lines. A soldier from the 30th Mechanized Brigade was injured and could not be evacuated by conventional means. Operators from the 92nd Brigade's unmanned ground systems company used a Ukrainian-made Gurzuf Defence hexacopter, provided free of charge, to evacuate the soldier.
The Gurzuf Defence hexacopter was provided by the manufacturer free of charge. The report suggests that scaling this experience could significantly advance drone technology and military capabilities.
