Ukrainian border guard reportedly wounded in Russian strike near Bakhmut

A Ukrainian border guard, Ruslan Varchuk, was reportedly wounded and trapped under rubble for nearly two days following a Russian strike on his position near Bakhmut. Varchuk, who previously worked in the forestry sector and had his own sawmill in Volyn, participated in combat operations on the Donetsk front.
After treatment and rehabilitation, Varchuk is now serving in the Izmail border detachment in Odesa region. He shared his story with Suspilne.
