Ukrainian drones reportedly strike oil pipeline facility near Tambov

Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 07:04 AM

Ukrainian monitoring Telegram channels reported that Ukraine attacked the "Nikolskoye" linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) in the Michurinsky district of Tambov Oblast. Local residents reported a diesel fuel tank fire. The head of Tambov Oblast, Yevgeny Первышов, later stated that a fire occurred on the territory of one of the enterprises in the Michurinsky district as a result of a Ukrainian Armed Forces (VSU) attack.

Первышов reported that four drones were shot down over the region. The "Nikolskoye" LPDS is part of the "Druzhba" oil pipeline system. The station is a large complex including three tank farms, two pumping stations, a pipeline network, and loading stations, with a throughput capacity of 300,000 tons per day. The Ukrainian army previously attacked this station on August 18, 2025. Russia's Ministry of Defense reported shooting down 136 Ukrainian drones over several regions, including Tambov Oblast, though this information lacks independent confirmation.
