Ukrainian forces reportedly reduce Russian bridgehead north of Kupyansk; Russians press we

Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 04:27 PM

Russian forces are actively pressing on a Ukrainian bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskil River, having occupied Pishchane and attempting to infiltrate the area of Kivsharivka, according to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the United Group of Forces. Trehubov described the situation as "hot" and "problematic" due to the bridgehead's location across the river.

Regarding Kupyansk and its surroundings, particularly to the north, Trehubov stated that the sole noticeable Russian bridgehead in that area is shrinking. He expressed hope that the bridgehead, at least from Dvorichna to Kupyansk, could be reduced.
