A Ukrainian Third Army Corps reportedly gained the initiative in its area of responsibility, forcing Russian forces to abandon offensive plans and consider halting their retreat, according to a deputy commander of the Third Army Corps. This unexpected strike is said to disrupt Russian plans to encircle Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Kostiantynivka, and Dobropillia.

The source stated that this operation was planned to prevent Russian forces from encircling major Ukrainian-controlled cities in Donetsk Oblast. The Third Army Corps reportedly liberated Drobysheve, Shandrohove, and Derilove from Russian troops, reclaiming 125 km² of territory. Total Russian losses over two seasons of the operation reportedly exceeded 3,000 personnel.
