Ukrainian forces' strike on Yandex data centers may require up to six months for equipment

Tuesday, October 13, 2026 at 12:23 PM

Replacement of damaged Yandex equipment following strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine may take up to six months, according to DW. The company will not be able to quickly replace the damaged equipment after the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Yandex data centers. To compensate for losses as quickly as possible, Yandex will purchase new equipment through various channels, including abroad.

Electronics manufacturer Fplus believes that Yandex will not be able to replace the damaged equipment by the end of the current year. According to an Fplus representative cited by Kommersant, expecting significant equipment supplies in the coming months would be "utopian." Market participants believe that providers will now begin to increase their computing power, which will inevitably lead to price increases in the fourth quarter due to supply shortages.
